The Power of Your Promises: My Book

The Power of Your Promises: My Book

Some projects come together quickly, while others take years to find the right moment. The Power of Your Promises is one of those projects that lived in my heart for a long time before it became a book.

For years, I knew this story needed to be told. But I also knew that writing it meant confronting parts of my life that are not always easy to share.

That’s why I say this book wasn’t written in just nine months. It was shaped over many years of decisions, lessons, fears, and personal growth.

To me, this book represents something deeply meaningful: keeping a promise I made to myself.

The Fear Behind Every Dream

I want to be completely honest with you.

Writing this book wasn’t easy.

For a long time, I was afraid.

Afraid of telling my full story.

Afraid of opening chapters of my life that most people keep hidden.

Afraid that someone might ask, “Who does she think she is?”

Because writing The Power of Your Promises wasn’t simply about sitting down in front of a computer and filling pages with words.

It meant revisiting difficult decisions.

Remembering painful moments.

Facing the promises I made to myself but didn’t always keep.

And through that process, I learned something important:

Most of the time, we don’t postpone our dreams because we don’t have enough time.

We postpone them because we’re afraid.

Afraid of growing.

Afraid of stepping outside our comfort zone.

Afraid of accepting the responsibility that comes with becoming the person we know we’re meant to be.

Stop Putting Your Life on Hold

There came a moment when I realized something that completely changed my perspective.

If I kept postponing this book, it wasn’t because I didn’t have a story worth telling.

It was because I wasn’t yet ready to embrace everything that story represented.

Sometimes it’s easier to disappoint yourself than to honor your own commitments.

Disappointing yourself is familiar.

Keeping your promises requires courage.

It requires you to stop hiding.

It requires you to accept that you can no longer keep your life on hold.

The day I understood that, I made a decision:

I was going to write this book, even if I was still afraid.

This Is Not Another Motivational Book

I want you to know this from the very beginning.

The Power of Your Promises isn’t a collection of inspirational quotes or feel-good messages.

It’s not another book that simply tells you, “Everything will be okay.”

This book explores what happens when a woman quietly makes promises to herself… and breaks them over and over again.

It speaks about surviving.

About immigrating and rebuilding your life.

About carrying everyone else’s responsibilities while forgetting your own.

But it also speaks about healing when no one is watching.

Because the decisions that truly transform our lives rarely happen in public.

They happen quietly.

They challenge us before they change us.

Who This Book Is For

I wrote this book for women who are tired, but not defeated.

For women who have been strong because life demanded it.

For mothers carrying more than the world can see.

For immigrants who learned how to survive before they learned how to feel safe.

For women who know they were created for something greater but are still learning how to embrace that calling.

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve been living in survival mode, this book may speak directly to your heart.

Not because I have all the answers.

But because I’ve walked part of that journey myself.

When You Choose to Keep Your Promise to Yourself

One of the most important messages I share in The Power of Your Promises is this:

The moment a woman decides to honor the promises she made to herself, everything begins to change.

She changes the way she loves.

The way she works.

The way she leads.

The way she builds her future.

Not because life suddenly becomes perfect.

But because she finally stops betraying herself.

That is the true power of keeping your promises.
